Answer: Passive. Lace is now run by the son. -

For Strat the different color pickups in the lace sensor what are the tone difference for each color?
Answer: Red is hotter and great in the bridge position. Blue is subdued, yet full and round, and great at the neck for blues. White is somewhat bright but average and works great at the middle/blend position. I have three Strats with these lace pickups and I love the tone. I also have two with American standard gear and one with custom shop pups. I can tell you that the lace sensors hold their own no matter what I compare them to... and the noisless aspect is a huge bonus when you're trying to record at lower volumes. -

Answer: It should fit any strat -

Will this fit a squier made in china?
Answer: Yes it should. I put this on a Squier Affinity Strat. It worked beautifully and sounds great too. My research shows that on one of the models a screw hole does not quite line up. I do not think it would be hard to make the appropriate adjustment.

The Lace Sensor pickups for Stratocaster guitars offer a great sound quality that rivals any competitor pickup on the market. They are easy to install and the noisless aspect is a huge bonus when trying to record at lower volumes. The sound quality of the wiring is impressively neat and the pickguard itself has been very durable and resistant to wear. While it may not be for everyone, the setup provides a very wide range of tones that range from familiar to expanded or unexpected. The Red pickup is the least interesting but has a very high output that works in some configurations.
