Lorex 16 Port PoE+ Switch for IP Security Camera Systems, Power Over Ethernet Switch for High Speed Transmission, Adds 16 Channels to Existing NVR,

The Lorex 16 Port PoE Switch for IP security camera systems has received mixed feedback from users, reflecting both its robust functionality and some operational challenges. Many customers appreciate the switch for its ability to connect multiple devices, such as IP cameras, directly to a central hub, contributing to streamlined connectivity and high-speed transmission. Users report that it effectively expands their Network Video Recorders (NVR) capabilities, making it a practical choice for those looking to enhance their surveillance setups. However, some customers have encountered issues with the cooling fans, which, after initial installation, produced unpleasant grinding and wailing noises. While later reviews indicate that these noises subsided after a few months of use, the need to replace the fans has been a noted concern for some users. Additionally, there are mentions of durability issues, with some devices reportedly burning out due to environmental factors, such as thunderstorms, leading to repeat purchases over a short span. Overall, the Lorex 16 Port PoE Switch is generally regarded as a powerful and effective solution for IP security systems, but potential buyers should be aware of the mixed durability feedback and occasional operational noise. **
