The Keson PG18M25AL Short Tape Measure with Nylon Coated Steel Blade and Auto Lock Graduations is a product that has mixed reviews. For customer use, it seems to work great for measuring and has a very smooth working auto brake. The tape measure can stand out about 8 feet without wind and is very reliable as long as the lock mechanism is working properly. However, some customers experienced issues with the tape's locking ability, rendering it useless after only light use. One customer had to trash the product after two years of light use because it lost its ability to lock. Two other customers ordered two of these tapes, and the lock mechanism failed to work on both products in less than an hour.
