Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What is the range of the 125KHz Proximity ID Card Access Control System?
Answer: The 125KHz Proximity ID Card Access Control System typically operates within a range of approximately 5 to 10 cm. This short-range capability ensures that users must bring their ID card or keychain close to the reader for activation, enhancing security by minimizing unauthorized access attempts. In practical scenarios, such as office buildings or secure facilities, this proximity ensures that only individuals with the appropriate access credentials can enter sensitive areas. -
Question:
How many users can the ID Card Access Control System support?
Answer: This particular access control system supports up to 1000 users. This flexibility makes it ideal for a variety of settings, such as schools, offices, or residential complexes, where managing a significant number of users is essential. Each user can be assigned an ID card or keychain, allowing straightforward monitoring and control of entry permissions, making it an efficient solution for secure environments. -
Question:
Can the ID Card Access Control Keypad be used outdoors?
Answer: The access control keypad is typically designed for indoor use; however, many models come with weather-resistant features that can allow limited outdoor functionality. If you plan to use it outside, confirming its specific environmental ratings is crucial. This system is commonly found in settings like gated communities or parking garages, where access control outdoors is a priority. -
Question:
What type of power supply is needed for the access control system?
Answer: Most 125KHz Proximity ID Card Access Control Systems operate on a 12V DC power supply. Ensuring a stable power source is essential for maintaining functionality and reliability. In setups such as office entrances or secure areas, connecting to an uninterrupted power supply system can further enhance security and operational integrity. -
Question:
How does the ID card entry process work?
Answer: The ID card entry process is straightforward: a user simply holds their proximity ID card or keychain near the reader. Upon recognition, the keypad typically emits a beep or light signal to indicate successful access. This intuitive process makes it user-friendly, especially in busy environments like offices or schools, where time is of the essence for users entering and exiting. -
Question:
Is it possible to add or delete users from the system easily?
Answer: Yes, the ID Card Access Control System allows administrators to easily add or delete user profiles from the system. This flexibility is essential in environments that frequently experience personnel changes, such as workplaces or schools. By managing access permissions through a simple interface, you can ensure that only authorized individuals retain access to secure areas. -
Question:
What types of ID cards are compatible with this system?
Answer: This access control system is compatible with standard 125KHz proximity ID cards and keychains. Users can choose keychains for convenience or ID cards that can be clipped onto lanyards. This versatility makes it suitable for various applications, from employees wearing ID badges in corporate offices to securing entry points in apartment complexes. -
Question:
Does the system provide event logging features?
Answer: Yes, many systems offer event logging features, allowing administrators to view access history and monitor who accessed particular areas and when. These logs are crucial for maintaining security, as they provide insights into potential unauthorized access incidents. This feature is especially useful in environments such as universities or corporate offices that require detailed monitoring of entry points. -
Question:
How do you set up the Door Access Control System?

toncont Access-Control Keypads Editorial Review
The Door Access Control System is a keypad that supports 125kHz proximity ID cards for access control. The system can support up to 1000 users and comes with five keychains for entry. The access control keypad supports WG26/34l input and output and can also work in standalone access control mode or as a weigand26/34 reader. It can be used with most third party garage door/gate openers or swing/sliding door openers whose control board accepts “normally open dry contact” signal powered by the opener's control board or powered by an external DC 12V-24V power supply control. Customer Feedback: - Some customers have mentioned that the product is lightweight and not suitable for outdoor use, as it could easily be damaged by vandals. - There is no backlighting of any keys and the unit does not respond to standard 26bit 125KHz fobs, but only to the provided five fobs. - The keypad has stopped allowing any access to programming after a specific point, and a factory reset is via the access code, which stops working. - Despite some negative reviews, some customers found the product to be easy to install and it worked well so far. - The product is decent for indoor use where there is limited space, and it does work with Weigand protocol, although it only beeps instead of changing to the green LED to indicate that it is unlocked.
