Explore Scientific Eyepieces EPWP8230-01 Editorial Review
**** The Explore Scientific 82 Degree Waterproof Telescope Eyepiece with a 30 mm focal length has garnered a diverse array of feedback from its users, ultimately reflecting a highly positive reception overall. Many customers highlight the eyepiece's solid Construction and impressive optical performance. Users appreciate the wide field of view, which allows for sweeping maneuvers through the night sky and the satisfaction of clear, sharp images of celestial objects. It has become a favorite for many who engage in stargazing, specifically noting the better experience it provides compared to lower-tier eyepieces. One standout feature mentioned repeatedly is the comfortable eye cup, which facilitates extended periods of viewing without discomfort. While some users have compared it to even higher-end models like the Nagler, most agree that it delivers exceptional quality for its price point. The eyepiece's weight, at 2 lbs 4 oz, is noted as a potential concern for some, particularly when balancing with heavier telescopes. Nonetheless, many users have quickly found ways to accommodate this heft, given the quality of viewing it provides is Considered worth the trade-off. On the flipside, a few users felt that, despite the popularity and positive remarks surrounding this eyepiece, it didn't significantly outperform some of their existing options in practical terms, especially at lower experience levels or with certain budget Constraints. However, personal satisfaction seems to be a key takeaway as those who invested in this eyepiece often report a desire to collect the entire line. In summary, the Explore Scientific 82 Degree Eyepiece offers a compelling mix of quality, performance, and value, making it a strong contender for both novice and experienced astronomers alike. **
