BK Precision 2831E True RMS Bench Digital Multimeter

The BK Precision 2831E True RMS Bench Digital Multimeter is a professional piece of equipment that boasts a broad range of measurement capabilities and includes an operation manual, test leads, a power cord, a spare fuse, a calibration certificate, and a test report. Users can connect the device to their computer via USB and use SCPI to program and query the meter. There is also a sample Python code available on Github for users to read the data automatically. While it can measure micro-amps, voltage and current cannot be measured simultaneously without two ADCs working in parallel, but serial communication can send commands and read data at a reasonable rate. In terms of reception, the device is generally well-received with good build quality and reasonable pricing. However, there have been some issues with the device locking up or malfunctioning, and some customers have expressed disappointment with the repair costs. Pros of the device include its broad range of measurement capabilities and USB interface, while its chassis depth and relatively slow sampling speed are listed as Cons.
